the golden filter-DENVER April10th!

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

if you’ve been hiding under a rock the last 9 months then perhaps you have an outside chance of not coming across golden filter. but despite bios being very elusive this australia based disco pop group have been absolutely destroying america. being on tour with the presets doesn’t hurt much either i suppose. that being said we’re happy to welcome them to denver on april 10th at the bluebird. this is a must see for anyone in CO. the bluebird is one of the more intimate venues and best sounding in d-town coupled with the lineup of dj hottodeath.. golden filter.. the presets..this is a very promising night. april in general is looking good these days and i even dropped this golden filter track in aprils podcast just to hype it more. if you hate fun then you should probably stay away from this show… opt4

Gui Boratto

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

gui was born in sao paulo brazil and in 2005 dedicated himself to his own productions and compositions. his debut LP came out march 5th in brazil and is entitled “take my breath away”. i hate how every time something blows me away i automatically think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.. however i really do think this album is. stumbled upon this record digging thru beatport.. quickly purchased it and placed it on repeat. my personal favorite is entitled ”no turning back” and has been in my head ever since. brilliantly written and arranged.. it hovers from melody to melody filtering thru a pulsing drum track that will make even the most reserved listener become reflective. i cannot wait for more releases from this guy. hope u enjoy it as much as i am. enjoi~ option4
