One of my favorite electropoppin-indietronic’ish bands has to be the French group Phoenix. Their early beginnings actually included Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo…which may help you realize their roots/progression. They’ve recently dropped the new single “1901″ from the album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix to be released on May 25th. It’s an amazing track and I can’t take it off repeat. dLux

Jesse Rose is a Berlin-based house music producer and DJ.Along with Switch aka Solid Groove, Rose is attributed with having kick started the ‘fidget house’ movement, which is a form of house music that relies upon heavy sample manipulation. Mr. Rose has worked with the greats of the house world for years including projects with Claude Von Stroke etc.etc.In 2009, Jesse Rose released his debut album ‘What Do You Do If You Don’t’ on Dave Taylor’s Dubsided imprint.
first off let me get this out the way.. this album was much needed. a great way to start off 2009. heavily sample based and extremely fun. a must for any dj or house listener. what struck me so sharply about this record is how it’s not taken very serious but the production is so strong and even ground breaking at times. it’s something i’ll be listening to for a long time to come. the tracks are cut dj length and nothing is missing from the album. it spans from tech to fidget back to chunk and the samples used keep it interesting throughout. personally hoping to catch mr. rose with claude von stroke and justin martin march 27th in miami. 5 star album without question. if it’s a steak it’s well done.option4

I don’t know how a night in Denver could get any better… two of the hottest, most bangerests artists right now, are going to be in Denver on the same night at the same venue. Both the Bloody Beetroots and the Crookers are from Italy, which shows how the youthful italians are being raised these days–pretty dang good. Other performances include Boyhollow, DJ Hot To Death. The venue: Ogden Theater. dLux
